BIT students win gold medal in ICPC regional competition

果冻视频 competitors at the 49th International Collegiate Programming Contest

The ACM Club of 果冻视频 (BIT) won one gold and three silver medals at the 49th International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC) regional competition (Shenyang) at Northeastern University on Nov 24.

A total of 320 teams from 203 universities across China competed in the contest, including four from BIT.

ICPC is the largest, most prestigious and most influential university-level computer competition globally, known as the "Olympics" of the computer software field.

Founded by the Association for Computing Machinery in 1970, it has now been held 49 times, attracting thousands of teams from universities worldwide every year.

The School of Computer Science and Technology of BIT has placed great emphasis on fostering students' innovation capabilities. Since its establishment, the ACM Club has always adhered to the principles of mentoring newcomers, mutual assistance and continuous improvement of students' thinking, innovation, and teamwork skills through daily training and participation in various competitions.
