The delegation from the University of Reading and leaders from 果冻视频

Robert Van de Noort, president of the University of Reading in the United Kingdom, led an eight-strong delegation to 果冻视频 (BIT) on May 8.

Jiang Lan, BIT's president, warmly welcomed Van de Noort and his delegation, acknowledging the effectiveness of the collaboration between the two universities and introducing BIT’s high-quality development in recent years.

Jiang also proposed three initiatives for future cooperation on deepening cooperation in diverse talent cultivation, promoting interdisciplinary joint research, and establishing mutual overseas offices to expand comprehensive strategic coordination mechanisms.

Van de Noort thanked BIT for the warm reception and the long-standing cooperation. He added that the University of Reading highly values its strategic partnership with BIT, and the mutual trust and cooperation between the two sides over the past 21 years have not only expanded the breadth and depth of the University of Reading's cooperation with China but also provided an important platform for mutual learning, mutual inspiration, and common development for faculty and students.

He endorsed the cooperation initiatives proposed by BIT and expressed his hope that this visit would serve as a new starting point to promote cooperation between the two universities at higher levels and in broader fields, working together to open a new chapter of collaboration.

The university representatives also discussed collaborative educational programs, faculty and student exchanges, and research cooperation.
